Ar Lietuvai reikalingos saugomos teritorijos?
Nature school in Kauno Marios regional park
Nature school established under Kauno marios regional park direction (Kaunas - Lithuania) is celebrating 5th years anniversary. On 2005 Nature school had 1105 schoolchildren visitors: 987 of them participated in nature lessons, 94 participated in thematic Nature day celebrations, 24 spent in summer holiday camp.
Participating in the BSR Eagle project on 2005 teaching material for Nature school lessons was prepared. Kauno marios regional park direction personnel on first half of 2005 prepared illustrative material about water and parks birds, butterflies, trees and forest flowered plants. The Nature school lessons became more interesting and fun for children walking, touching and watching things described in illustrative materials.
Last five years Nature school lessons took place outdoors in the forest or near the Kauno marios pond. However climate in Lithuania quite cold in late autumn and winter time and practically lessons in this time are not very popular. It is planned to install the classroom for Nature school inside Kauno marios regional park direction building. Kauno marios regional park direction personnel is preparing nature – historic exposition which will decorate new Nature school classroom.
