Education program for schoolchildren "Habitats of European importance and species" in Lithuania
Lithuania comprises 53 different types of preserved habitats of European importance. This represents 24 % of the entire number of preserved habitats (218) that are recognized in the European Union and listed in the Habitats Directive. Many of these habitat types need protection.
